Kristen Ringman is a deaf writer, wanderer, and artist. She writes multi-cultural lyrical fiction and poetry inspired by her persistent wanderings to far off places. She is the author of two Lambda Literary Finalist books: I Stole You: stories from the fae (Handtype Press) and Makara: a novel (Handtype Press), which was also nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and the editor of Everyday Haiku: an anthology (Wandering Muse Press). She received her MFA from Goddard College and has attended the Gullkistan Residency for Creative People in Iceland and three A Room of her Own (AROHO) Women’s Writing Retreats at Ghost Ranch.

She’s currently working on a memoir-in-verse of the shipwreck she experienced while pregnant with her son in 2011 and literary upmarket fiction novels that play along the boundaries of magical realism, fantasy, and horror.
